Macros With Mythili – ISRO’s Mangalyaan Enters Mars Orbit

It has almost been a month since the Mars Orbiter Mission was successfully launched and almost a year since it lifted off on its voyage to Mars in November last. The overwhelming sense is one of achievement, bordering on euphoria, but in keeping with ET NOW's penchant to assess everything in cold numbers, we'd like to look at the mission from a hard-nosed economic perspective. Even if one accepts that one can't measure such missions in numbers alone, the question is how best can a country like India maximize the gains from what some would regard as a vainglorious effort? To discuss this catch this episode of Macros With Mythili with Sanjaya Baru of International Institute of Strategic Studies, Dr Kiran Karnik of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology and Dr VP Sandlas of DRDO.
