ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri said on Sunday that he would accept death but not a deal with the government. He said that the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan would prove that people don’t approve of the government. We will not take the blood of the martyrs of Model Town, said Qadri.

Before leaving for Lahore for his public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, Qadri addressing party workers in Islamabad said that today’s rally would prove to be a referendum in favor of democracy. The strength of the rally would prove that the country doesn’t want the elite rulers.

Qadri’s caravan consisting of six vehicles departed from Margalla Road heading towards the toll plaza on the Motorway. Talking to the media, Qadri said that the battle between truth and injustice began with the Long March from Lahore to Islamabad in August. Today is the day of nationwide victory as we speak out against injustice and oppression.

He said that PAT would return to continue the sit-in protest in Islamabad on October 21 and the policy devised to bring about the revolution would be implemented.
