In his hometown of Sarasota, Florida, daredevil Nik Wallenda is immersed in training.

Step-by-step, he's preparing for his next big challenge: a high-wire walk between Chicago skyscrapers at night.

"Of course there are weather conditions, it is November 2nd, we don't know what it is going to be like. And of course, the blindfold, it is something that is very mentally draining, to put it mildly."

Wallenda will walk from Marina City's west tower more than two city blocks to the Leo Burnett Building.

He'll be more than 50 stories above the Chicago River and going uphill on a 15-degree angle.

Then he'll do another span blindfolded.

"There is no test runs. When I get to Chicago, I will get on that cable and walk."

Wallenda is a seventh-generation member of the "Flying Wallendas" family of acrobats.
