A miniature Yorkshire terrier in Great Yarmouth, UK is gaining quite a few fans on Facebook.
A miniature Yorkshire terrier in Great Yarmouth, UK is gaining quite a few fans on Facebook. The pooch named Belle is only six weeks old. Even though she is still a baby the dog is approximately eight times smaller than other puppies the same age.
Belle’s owner Karenza Cruse is going the extra mile to care for her. Belle is being hand fed daily. She is just beginning to sample solid foods and taking those adorable first steps.
Cruse knows all too well that her palm-sized dog is a fighter. Belle is the only surviving canine from a litter of four.
Right after she came into the world, Belle was both resuscitated and rejected by her own mother. Cruse began taking care of both Belle and her brother but he didn’t survive.
Determined to help Belle live, Cruse spends copious amounts of time keeping a close watch on her and even sleeps on a couch to stay close to the tiny pooch.
A Facebook page titled Belle's journey is chronicling her journey to health and shares some of the cute moments of the pup’s life.
Cruz remarked “I still just smile at her even if it is 2am or 4am. She reminds me of a little clockwork toy. Everyone just assumes she is a newborn.”
