Dunya News - Mibahul Haq will remain captain till WC 2015: Shahryar Khan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Addressing the press conference Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan declared his visits to India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka successful.

He said he asked Bangladesh and India to keep politics and cricket seperate stating Indian officials that the sole purpose of his visit is to talk about cricket alone.

Chairman PCB said significant Indian officials have given positive response.

He said he could not meet Sri Navasan on the visit but met Rajiv Shukla.

Shahryar Khan said Navasan has assured that Indian team’s visit to Pakistan would not be conditional to officials permit.

He further said Sri Lanka has offered to send their national team to Pakistan whereas associate countries Afghanistan and Ireland have offered to visit Pakistan as well.

Talking about Indian media he expressed that Indian media berates Pakistan a lot.

Aim is to open doors for cricket in Pakistan so the teams may come and play as international cricket in Pakistan is the first step to rehabilitate cricket in Pakistan, he added.

He further pronounced that there would be 6 series between Pakistan and India in the next 8 years whereas Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have also offered to send their junior teams to Pakistan.
