Christians, Muslims honor slain aid worker Alan Henning

At this church just outside of Manchester, a service to honor slain aid worker Alan Henning.

His widow Barbara wiped away tears and lit candles with their children.

The 47-year-old British national was beheaded by Islamic State militants, who had been holding him hostage since December.

"He says 'it's all worthwhile when you see what is needed actually get to where it needs to go; that makes it worthwhile."

In the UK's Muslim community, an outpouring of support for the Henning family - and condemnation of Islamic State.

"He did something for humanity. And ISIS, they have no regard for humanity."

Imam Qari Asim says Henning represents the best of the British people.
