Critics mixed but fans happy with Lindsay Lohan's West End debut

She's one of Hollywood's biggest names.

And now Lindsay Lohan has swapped Beverly Hills to walk the boards in London's West End.

The actor met fans who'd waited hours to see her before taking to the stage for 'Speed-The-Plow' - a David Mamet play which satirises the movie industry.

Lohan plays Karen - a temporary receptionist to two Hollywood bigwigs played by Nigel Lindsay and 'West Wing' star Richard Schiff - who's impressed by his co-star.

Soundbite, 'Speed-The-Plow' actor, Richard Schiff, saying (English):

"It's really, really hard and you know she did an amazing job from the first day of rehearsal to now is quantum growth and you know that's how you judge her. You judge her from where you begin. Not from where you end, you know. And she did great."

And fans were happy with what they saw at the 'Speed-The-Plow' press night.
