Syria: car bomb and suicide bomb detonated near elementary school

At least 18 people, among them 10 children, were killed by a double bomb attack near a school in Syria, according to local media. The attacks took place in the central province of Homs and the blasts occurred when a car was detonated at the same time that the children were leaving the school. The attack also left 40 injured. According to the authorities and the local population, the attack was carried out by terrorists from the Al-Nusra Front in response to airstrikes by the US-led alliance and the advances of the Syrian army on the ground.
