Turkish Iraqi Border Build-Up Continues

(DHA) Military activity on the
Turkish-Iraqi border continues.

Recently, 40 more tanks were
sent from Ankara to be located
in the border region.

Broad security precautions were
taken for the tanks' dispatch.

New soldiers and military
vehicles were sent to areas
close to the border in the
district of Cizre, Sirnak.
It was reported that soldiers are
watching routes of terrorists.

Ground searches also continue
in the countryside.

The Tactical Border Regimental
Command in the district of
Senoba in Sirnak was turned
into a brigade. The military
force has been doubled.

Special task teams were formed
in Sirnak and Hakkari. These
teams consist of junior
officers and sergeant majors.
