Surat is considered to be the revenue capital of Gujarat in many sense. But, the hush hush construction of civic projects has brought a bad name to the otherwise vibrant civic body. It is almost three months now after the slab of an under-construction flyover bridge collapsed, leaving 10 dead. Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) released state government's High-powered investigation committee report in which Rachna Construction is given clean chit.
