In the Syrian city of Raqqa, locals assess the damage to a bakery run by Islamic State militants after an air strike by government forces,

in this amateur video posted to a social media website.

Others attempt to flee the area, by foot and on motorcycles, fearing further strikes.

Activists say Syrian warplanes hit the bakery killing at least 25 people, including civilians.

It's the latest attack in a seemingly unending round of air raids by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad targeting rebel fighters.

Raqqa, which is northeast of Damascus, became an Islamic State stronghold after the militant group drove government forces out of the city in late August, executing scores of Syrian soldiers.

Civilians now live under the control of the militants, who oversee many aspects of daily life.
