The seventh phase of dialogue between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government ended on Saturday with no definite outcome. PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the series of dialogue is ongoing and will resume tomorrow (Sunday), Dunya News reported.
The preliminary phase of dialogue resumption took place at PTI’s General Secretary Jahangir Tareen’s residence. The negotiation team representing the government comprises Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Pervaiz Rasheed, Ahsan Iqbal, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Zahid Hamid whereas the committee representing PTI comprises Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi, Jahangir Tareen, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak, Asad Umar, Arif Alvi and Shafqat Mehmood.
PTI presented its eleven-point agenda to the government. Sources said that the charter of demands contained six of PTI’s previous demands including Prime Minister’s resignation and at least five new demands were added today.
New demands include the ones that were presented by PTI chief Imran Khan on May 11 at D-Chowk Islamabad.
