ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Wednesday announced complete suspension of dialogue with the government until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation. He alleged the government tried to buy him off by offering him the post of deputy premiership, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the ‘Azadi March’ participants, Khan said that he cannot trust any investigation or reforms under Nawaz Sharif’s premiership adding that Sharif has the capacity to influence the process, adding that no transparent investigation can take place until Prime Minister resigns.
He said he will not leave the sit-in protest until Prime Minister’s resignation, adding that he is taking steps to rescue democracy.
He said no compromise over resignation demand is accepted, and that this step is for the sake of democracy.
He insisted he is a democratic man and that he hasn’t done a thing that is undemocratic.
PTI chief said that his only mistake was to endorse former military dictator Pervez Musharraf in referendum, adding that he had apologized to the whole nation for that.
He reiterated there’s no difference between former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mobarak and Nawaz Sharif.
Imran Khan said he will make important announcements later tonight, urging supporters to reach the protest venue.
