‘Breaking Bad’ had a good night at this year’s Emmy awards, winning the top prize for Best Drama for the second year running.

For the Best Actor award, Matthew McConaughey lost out to Bryan Cranston for his role in ‘Breaking Bad’. Cranstan said he hadn’t expected to win, and joked that even his own family had nicknamed him Sneaky Pete (an Americanism meaning a failure).

Jay Leno announced that the award for Best Comedy had been won by ‘Modern Family’ for the fifth time, equaling the record set by Frasier.

Julianna Margulies was named Best Actress in a drama series for her role in ‘The Good Wife’ and said that it was a wonderful time for women on television.

And Billy Crystal paid tribute to Robin WIlliams, who died earlier this August, playing clips from his appearances on late-night television and his stand-up comedy specials.
