Maika Monroe talks empowering women in new horror film

STORY: Up and coming Hollywood star Maika Monroe was in London on Thursday (August 21) for the opening of her new horror movie 'The Guest' at the FrightFest festival in London and she spoke out about how Hollywood should have more empowering roles for women. She performs opposite former 'Downton Abbey' star Dan Stevens in the film where an ex-marine arrives on the doorstep of his former comrade's family claiming to be a friend of their son who was killed in the war in Afghanistan. He wins some affection at first by performing good deeds, but a host of mysterious events leads the dead soldier's sister, Anna Peterson (Maika Monroe), to question whether Collins is lying about his true identity.
