Let's Play Pokemon: TCG Part 1 - YuGiOh!... Yeah, you wish it was Yougeehoh!

How do you feel about Trading Card Games? How do you feel about video games? If you said yes to both of these, then good for you. Now if you like seeing both of them combined into one, what the hell's wrong with you? The Pokemon TCG for the Gameboy Color is another example of you need luck in order to beat this game. I don't have any of that, but hey, that's what save states are for. So enjoy this playthrough... I guess.

"And now folks, we play a video game... based on card game... that's based on a video game... that inspired an anime series based on the video game (great, now I'm getting a headache from all of this. @_@). *ahem* Anyway, we shall play this game from beginning to end with hopefully less luck-based frustrations (like video games based off the YuGiOh! series).

Here are a few things though that I think you should know about this run:

1) I'm gonna start off with the Squirtle & Friends Deck (Mainly has Water type pokemon cards in it, mixed in with some Fighting and Psychic types as well). Maybe I'll use some Normal, Thunder, Fire and Grass type, but those three types in my SAF Deck will be my main focus here.

2) I highly doubt I'll replay this game using Charmander & Friends and/or Bulbasaur and Friends Decks, but if I do, chances are they will mainly be updates about my progress in it rather than LPs. But again, that's IF I decide to do those two runs. (Keep in mind, though this is a card/luck based game, completing it even as quickly as possible can take as long as playing an RPG, and those take FOREVER to complete).

3) Having said that, I won't collect every card possible in the game (if that does happen in this run, it's purely gonna be coincidental), but at the very least, I'll try to take part of every duel possible.

4) This game can get repetitive and quite boring at times, so though I'm gonna try my damndest to make this LP enjoyable, don't expect any 5-star rated commentary coming from me.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's talk about the game, shall we? You'll be playing as [INSERT NAME HERE], a young boy (remember folks, this is basically Gen. 1 era we're talking about) who wishes to obtain the Super Rare, Legendary Cards. In order to do so, you must first duel and defeat the 4 Masters of Pokemon: TCG. In order to duel them, you must first obtain the 8 Medals located in each of the 8 TCG Clubs. In order to obtain the Medals, you must first defeat all of their Club Leaders in a match. In order to face off against them, you must first defeat everyone else that's a part of that club. And finally, in order to defeat all the other members in each club, you must first construct yourself a strong, yet manageable deck.

And that's where this game starts off. You head on over to Dr. Mason's Laboratory (why do I have Dexter's Laboratory flowing through my head now?) as he instructs you on both how to create your deck AND more importantly, how the game is played. Choose your best cards, and think up the best strategies, cause it's time to D-D-D-D... D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL!!!"
