- 과거 영동과 영서의 문물이 교환되었던 지점이자 분단의 아픔이 서린 진부령. 한반도 백두대간의 남한 쪽 마지막 고개를 오르며 과거의 아픔을 돌이켜 본다.
- 대한민국 최북단 위치하며 한국전쟁 이전에는 한국4대 사찰로 손꼽히던 건봉사. 그 곳에서 석가모니의 진신치아사리를 만나보고 한국전쟁 당시 전사한 사망자들의 위패와 그 치열했던 전투의 흔적도 함께 한다.
