A former MTV reality star, 22-year-old Madeleine Cornish has been accused of intentionally abandoning her puppy. The arrest warrant shows the ordeal started on July 10th in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Cornish was in the middle of relocating when she left her Mastiff puppy named Benson, alone in the house for more than three weeks. She reportedly failed to leave behind any food or water for the pup.
By the time Cornish returned to the residence, Benson was badly malnourished and dehydrated. The arrest warrant reveals the horrible condition he was in.
It, in part, reads “Benson had a body score of 1, which is the lowest and worst on the body condition score chart used by veterinarians.” The puppy’s ‘ribs, lumbar vertebrae, pelvic bones’ and all bones close to the skin could easily been seen from a distance. No body fat was visible.
Once Cornish realized he was in terrible shape, she allegedly dropped him off on a local street. Fortunately a family found the puppy wandering around, searching for food or water and got help for him.
Benson was taken in by The Arrow Fund and is now living in a foster home. He is doing much better.
Cornish who starred on MTV’s 2010 show ‘Baby High’, has been arrested and is facing charges of second degree cruelty to animals and tampering with physical evidence.
