How To Add Colour To An Old Photograph

(PLEASE READ!) QUICK TIPS (video commentary in a nutshell) :

-Low opacity soft brush on new layer to add colour
-Always do things on new layers so you can undo mistakes
-Use layer masks
-Copy and past different areas and change the hue/saturation so you don't lose any detail
-Don't overkill the colour, because it won't look believable
-Colour dodge tool= lighten the colour/photograph
-Colour burn tool= darken the colour/photograph
-If you have a graphic tablet, use the pressure sensitivity. This helps immensely when blending colours.

Thanks for watching this video! I know i'm a bit out of time for some of the points but it is hard to edit on glorious iMovie haha. If you have any problems, then write a comment and I will get back to you! Sorry if you found this video difficult to follow, I kept the majority of the video at real speed so you find it easier whilst watching. Sorry if it is boring haha! :D Hope it helps anyway.

I use photoshop CS6 and a wacom graphics tablet.
