Dunya News- Marquez reflects on another successful day on track

Having led in FP4, Marquez was able to continue his strong form, despite several big slides throughout the weekend. The young Spaniard visited the Indy Mile on Friday night and spent much of Saturday leaving black lines as he slid around corners.

Marquez became the first MotoGP™ rider to drop into the 1’31s early in Q2. He was able to achieve a 1’31.619s lap time, putting him 0.225s clear of Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team). Despite previous claims that the older layout suited his Honda better, Marquez had few problems in securing his eighth pole of the season.

The reigning MotoGP World Champion will be looking to achieve his tenth victory of the season and his fourth career win at the Brickyard.
