Will remember and honor the nearly three thousand people who died in the horrific attacks of February 26, 1993, and September 11, 2001. The Memorial will consist of two massive pools set within the footprints of the Twin Towers with the largest manmade waterfalls in the country cascading down their sides. They will be a powerful reminder of the Twin Towers.
-The names of the 2,983 people who died on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993 are inscribed on bronze panels surrounding two reflecting pools.
-Spread over 8 acres, the Memorial is accented with more than 400 Swamp White Oak trees, which can reach heights of up to 60 feet and live up to 300 years.
-To build the Memorial, construction required a total of 65,000 cubic yards of concrete, coupled with 8,658 tons of steel.
