The 2013 Korea Artist Prize
As the name suggests, the Korea Artist Prize (previously called the "Artist of the Year") was founded to discover and nurture talents with potentials that will shape the local art scene. This exhibition brings together artworks, ranging from soap sculptures to video installations, by four finalists shortlisted for the prize. In particular, we focus on the winner Kong Sung-hun and his landscape paintings that require close looking.

한국 현대미술의 잠재력과 가능성을 모색해 보는 전시, 올해의 작가상 2013.
이번 전시에서는 '올해의 작가' 후보에 오른 작가 4명의 작품을 보여주는데, 연극 무대장치처럼 변해버린 자연을 회화 작품으로 공성훈, '번역'을 화두로 설치 작업을 하는 신미경, 평범한 소시민의 삶을 미디어 작품으로 표현하는 조해준, 그리고 현대 사회를 풍자하는 영상 작품을 보여주는 함양아 작가가 그 주인공이다. 2013 올해의 작가상에는 회화작가 공성훈이 선정되었는데, 그의 작품은 회화에서 보기 드문 혁신성을 찾아볼 수 있다.
[Fine Art]에서는 네 명의 작가가 보여주는 개성 있는 작품을 살펴보고, 2013 올해의 작가로 선정된 공성훈 작가의 인터뷰를 통해 그의 작품세계를 들어본다.
