Massive water main break floods UCLA campus

Water shoots into the air after a major water main break, flooding parts of the UCLA campus.

Bits of debris, including asphalt, are also reportedly spewing out of the break.

It happened around 3:30 local time near the campus, prompting an evacuation of students and faculty.

Local television images show students wading through knee-deep water -- some are getting around by boogie board.

But firefighters warn that the water is extremely dangerous.

L.A.'s famed Sunset Boulevard has also been closed, as fire and police officials scramble to get the break under control.

The Los Angeles Police Department said there were no immediate reports of injuries from the flooding.

The water is reported to be one-to-two feet high as it gushes down the road.
