Monitors from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) set out on a fresh field investigation at the crash site of the downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 plane on Friday (July 25).
OSCE spokesman Michael Bociurkiw said monitors had detected personal belongings of some of the 298 victims at the site in Donetsk, which is controlled by pro-Russia rebels.
"Nearby that area there is another impact site where we have been noticing in the past few days quite a bit of personal belongings. For the first time, we noticed identification documents. I am talking about ID cards, bank cards and credit cards. We have been going there frequently and we did not detect that previously," Bociurkiw told journalists in Donetsk.
OSCE officials also said the rebels wanted the number of foreign investigators to be curtailed, and the wreckage to be removed.
