French Papers - Coverage of the plane crash that took 116 lives - almost half of them French

The French papers are leading with Air Algerie – the third major international plane crash in one week.
Almost half of the victims were French and Le Parisien reports on the family members who waited for loved ones at airports in Algeria and France.
Liberation gives extensive coverage of the crash, which is the third in just one week.
Les Echos reports on previous years where a number of deadly plane crashes happened, one after the other. In August, 2008 there were three crashes in one week. Between May and July four plane crashes left more than 500 dead.
With more than 700 plane deaths so far, this year is the deadliest in a decade. But the papers remind us, flying remains the safest mode of transportation. The average death toll on France’s roads is more than 3,000 every year.
