Because Alec Atkins, Malcolm Brickhouse and Jarad Dawkins's have just landed themselves a record deal with Sony Music.

SOUNDBITE: Alec Atkins, bassist for Unlocking the Truth, saying (English):

"It's fun because they are my friends. So I can't imagine doing anything better then playing in a heavy metal band with them."

The three middle school boys from New York formed "Unlocking the Truth" two years ago.

What started out as an after school activity inspired by their love for heavy metal music has now turned into serious business.

The band has already performed to crowds in Times Square, opened for Guns N' Roses and even had their own set at the Coachella music festival in California.

They are currently working on their first studio album.
