Joel to get Gershwin Prize, Jagger hits New York

Billy Joel will receive the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter will be the sixth recipient of the prize that honors individuals for lifetime achievement in popular music. Joel will receive the prize in Washington, D.C. in November and will be honored at a series of events.

Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger was in New York for the premiere of the film "Get on Up," which recounts the story of music legend James Brown. Jagger co-produced the film which is set to open in early August.

Antonio Banderas and his daughter, Stella del Carmen, visited Peru - walking along the renowned ancient Inca Trail. Local media caught up with the actor - it was one of his first public outings since he and his wife of 18 years, Melanie Griffith, announced that they will divorce.
