General Officer Commanding Engineering Division, Major General Akhtar Jamil Rao has said holding North Waziristan operation had become unavoidable.
He was briefing media about internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan operation in Bannu on Tuesday.
He said majority among IDPs is of children and women. He said they comprise 74 percent of IDPs.
He said out of all, 84 percent are staying in Bannu, while 5500 affected families are residing in Dera Ismael Khan.
