Moscow day of mourning declared after metro derailing disaster

Rescuers have recovered 21 bodies after a packed metro train derailed between two stations during Tuesday morning’s rush-hour in Moscow.
Emergency crews struggled to reach those trapped in one of the deepest parts of the underground system.
Around 130 people are still in hospital,more than 40 of those in intensive care.
Russian authorities say the rescue mission has been fully completed
In a televised statement, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, “I would like to send condolences to the relatives of the dead on behalf of those who are here and on behalf of the government in general.Undoubtedly, it is necessary to help Moscow in dealing with that serious accident.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is away in Brazil, has ordered a criminal investigation into the incident.
There was no suspicion of a militant attack – the cause of scores of deaths in Moscow’s subway system in the past.
The Moscow metro is the world’s busiest. The city’s mayor has declared Wednesday a day of mourning.
The accident happened in the west of the city, between the Slaviansky Boulevard and Park Pobedy stations.
