Morocco In Motion - Le Mausolée Mohammed V & La Tour Hassan - Rabat

Au XIIe siècle, Yacoub El Mansour, souverain almohade, érigea à Rabat la Mosquée Hassan qui fut inachevée. Sur ce lieu se dresse la majestueuse Tour Hassan et ses colonnes, fondation de cette mosquée. Sur cette même esplanade, dix ans ont été nécessaires à l’architecte pour construire le mausolée Mohammed V, dans la plus pure tradition. Les touristes comme les Marocains apprécient la quiétude du lieu qui abrite les tombeaux du roi Mohammed V, du roi Hassan II et du prince Moulay Abdallah.

In the twelfth century, Yacoub El Mansour, Almohad ruler, erected in Rabat the Hassan Mosque though it remained unfinished. On this land, stands the majestic Hassan Tower and its columns as parts of the mosque foundation. In its purest tradition, it has taken the architect ten years to build the Mohammed V mausoleum. Both tourists and locals enjoy this tranquil plaza; home to the tombs of King Mohammed V, King Hassan II and Prince Moulay Abdallah.
