A suspect in a Texas shootout gets out of his car and surrenders to police.

This was the moment a four-hour stand off came to an end.

Authorities say the man, who has not been identified, is believed to have killed at least six people, including four children, in a domestic dispute.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) HARRIS COUNTY PRECINCT 4 CONSTABLE, RON HICKMAN, SAYING:

"We've heard preliminary information that two of the children may have been adopted by he and his estranged wife and we have to assume that the other two belonged to the family that was shot."

Police tracked him down after one of his victims, a 15-year-old girl who was shot but survived, managed to tell police where he was going after he fled the scene.

A thirty minute car chase followed, and officers were able to head him off in this Cul-de-sac.

They believe the man was on his way to shoot more relatives.
