Gandhi statue to be erected in Parliament Square

George Osborne has revealed that a statue of Mahatma Gandhi will be erected in Parliament Square in London. Speaking in India, where he and the Foreign Secretary met with the country’s new Prime Minister, the Chancellor described the statue as a "monument of the friendship between Britain and India".
