Probably one the ultimate french jazz funk record that you don't really saw often for sale in this Minty French Pressing. Michel Fugain's Big Bazar drummer Sylvain Krief is behind this mysterious Airto Fogo pseudonym and composed all the tracks of this killer record. This Ultimate Instrumental Latin Jazz Funk is now considered as one of the Top 10 French Jazz Funk Holy to rank with Cortex, Ben & Platano, Godchild, CCPP etc..
In 1976, I had the chance to record an album with extraordinary musicians in Paris at Studio Davout.
I wanted to have a more exotic name than mine, I chose Air.
Besides the name is registered with SACEM.
In fact I'm Sylvain Krief and I was the drummer Michel Fugain, but I played mostly jazz.
All brass arrangements were written by Michel Coeuriot an exceptional pianist who plays in the album all keyboards.
This album has generated incredible enthusiasm and today it sells through the Internet, it is also found in some record stores that specialize in selling 33T. It will be released in CD Japan.
Many assumptions have been made as to the true identity of Airto Fogo
due to the success of the album.
In fact, good French musicians, a good engineer (Claude Hermelin), a good arranger, and a big funky rhythm made the success of this 45 rpm and the 33T.
