Hot dog eating champ gobbles down 61 hot dogs

Joey Chestnut won his 8th consecutive championship at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island.
He consumed 61 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win the contest.
It was a close competition for Chestnut. Matt Stonie came in second eating 56 hot dogs.
Before the contest, Chestnut took the stage to propose to his longtime girlfriend. She said yes.
Chestnut fell short of his record when he consumed 69 hot dogs in 2013.
Despite the rainy weather, tens of thousands of spectators turned out to watch the annual contest on July 4th.
