A cameraman for Russia’s state-owned Channel One television has been killed in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region.

Anatoly Klyan was shot in the stomach after his film crew came under fire when they went to report near a pro-Kyiv military unit.

A video released appears to show the moment when he was fatally wounded.

Yevgeniy Lyamin, C1R reporter said: “We were looking for a car to take him to a hospital, the nearest one, and when we carried him from the bus his last words were, he turned his head and said: “Camera, camera.”

Klyan is the third Russian journalist to be killed during the conflict.

Moscow has protested, calling on Kyiv to stop operations in Donetsk and Luhansk, where separatists have seized state buildings and weapons arsenals.
