A Portrait of Cannes: Les Marches Bleues

At a press roundtable, Samira Makhmalbaf, whose film "Five O'Clock in the Afternoon" is her third film in competition, contrasts being at the Festival de Cannes with conditions in Afghanistan while she was shooting her film.
Makhmalbaf's segment is book-ended with location shots outside the Palais des Festivals and swimming choreography at a late-night party in the mountains. {All sound was recorded by Liza Béar as a Festival de Cannes accredited reporter or on location on the Croisette].
