MQM strongly condemns the harassment & arrest of cable operators by the Federal & Punjab Govt

MQM’s Rabita Committee has strongly condemned the harassment and arrest of cable operators by the Federal and Punjab Governments.
In a statement they said, “They shut down the transmission through PEMRA. Now they are harassing and putting pressure on cable operators to implement the illegal order of PEMRA. They have arrested an office bearer of cable operators association Chaudhry Tahir from Multan.”
Rabita Committee has condemned the action of the government. They said the government was trying to stifle the freedom of media this way. They added that the government’s action is highly condemnable.
They demanded that the government should stop harassing and arresting cable operators and Chaudhry Tahir should be released immediately.
