Humshakals Movie Review | WORST MOVIE
Bollywood has seen a lot of multi starrer films but a multi starrer with triplets of each of the lead stars? Ahan...now that's something interesting...So here it is! Entertainment honcho Sajid Khan has brought to us a hilarious laughter riot with his recent release, Humshakals! Starring an ensemble of cast namely, Saif, Riteish, Ram, Esha, Tamannaah and Bipasha, while the promos guaranteed a lot of excitement there, let's see how far has the film managed to live up to this cocktail of Humshakals!
Firstly, a quick brush up through the film's plot. Humshakals' is the story of a rich millionaire Ashok played by Saif, who dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian, supported by his best friend Kumar played by Ritesh. But then we have Ram, as Mamaji entering the frame to get hold of Ashok's property and declaring them as mentally unstable. Here shoots the twist! Ashok and Kumar get locked inside a mental asylum but much do they know that the nearby ward has the actual mentally unstable Humshakals of Ashok and Kumar. So what happens next is what the entire film is all about.
Now as per the plot and brand Sajid, Humshakals lives up to the infamous masala entertainer genre but what drags to its flipside is a slow screen play and a weak narration! Yes, the scenes frame up to enthrall but miss out on originality and freshness in its comedy...In fact, for the obvious, quite a few scenes will remind you of Sajid's previous entertainer, Housefull! But don't dishearten, you have the babes to ham and of course, the triplet bonanza as women.... Coming to the performances, Riteish steals the major limelight with total conviction to each of his moods whereas Saif pushes hard, yet fails to justify this genre. Ram is brilliant when he is unstable while the chics including Tamannah, Esha and Bipasha are merely placed as best showpieces!
To sum it up, if you love Sajid Khan style of entertainers, then this one's sure to impress and take you to a whole new 'Haha planet' but other than that, Humshakals is a simply added arm to Housefull with 'three-flee'
