Soccer fans in Brazil's Cuiaba are finding more than just the World Cup.

Just over an hour from the city, a natural beauty.

The region's ecotourism, including the Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park and its 86-meter Bridal Veil waterfall, was a main draw for bringing the World Cup and its fans to Cuiaba.

(SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) LUIS FERNANDO PIOTTO AND TALITA OLIVERA, TOURISTS FROM SAO PAULO, SAYING:

"We combined two wishes: to get to know the central region of our country and participate in the World Cup, which probably won't happen here again for decades."

Thousands of tourists have ventured to the park around the Cup, compared to the hundreds of an average day.

With sprawling cliffs where local Scarlet Macaw parrots nest, the diverse ecosystem offers even more escape for those hiring local guides.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RUSSIAN TOURIST ROMAN SARANCHUK AND GUIDE SILVIO SOUZA, SAYING:

"It's a very beautiful place with a very good guide.
