Little Shop of Horrors (1960)

Perhaps the signature "Corman quickie", this is the movie Roger boasted he'd made in two days: the tale of a lowly florist's assistant and his amazing alien plant. An ultra low-budget sci-fi/horror farce that is fiendishly entertaining, unlike so many of the cheap genre flicks of its day it invites you to laugh with it rather than at it.

(It even went on to be adapted for an Off-Broadway musical, which in turn became a big-budget, big-name movie in 1986. There were no big names in this cast, however--all though that kid named Nicholson showed promise...)
