CAMPAIGN TO END SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN CONFLICT
Actress Angelina Jolie opened the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London last week, which she co-hosted with the UK`s Foreign Secretary : the biggest summit of its kind with a goal to shatter impunity for those who rape during war, with online campaigning revolving around the #TimeToAct hashtag .
And campaigning is well underway. Just like Fashion designers Stella McCartney and Vivian Westwood or singer M.I.A, countless web users, well known or otherwise have posted under the key words, denouncing sexual violence. 
Britain`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged employees to take to Twitter and join the campaign. And as we can see from these shots posted online staff from various British embassies across the globe have done just that. And countless social networkers from all over the world have also added their voice to the movement. 
But although Angelina Jolie`s campaign has received a great deal of online support, some say it is just the first step towards ending sexual violence in conflict. Blogger Katie Gonzales for example says that now the online campaigning has begun politicians and world leaders must now confront this problem head-on, and take concrete measures to protect women caught up in war zones.
