Eric Depret (copy by Wolfgang Frueh 1993 of a Cavaliero mandolin of 1759) and Jean-Paul Bazin (Gennaro Vinaccia mandolin ca. 1760), both from Ensemble Gabriele Leone, play Duo n°5 by Gabriele Leone at the Main Room of the City Hall of Argenteuil, october 1996 - original brass strings and quills. Gabriele Leone wrote an exptensive mandolin method (published 1768) for his pupil the Duke of Chartres, later known as Philippe-Egalité (1747-1793) during the french revolution.
