The Nutty Professor turns 50

Comedic legend Jerry Lewis celebrated the 50th anniversary of his film "The Nutty Professor" at New York's Friars Club.

The 88-year-old showed off his sense of humor as he posed for photographers ahead of the event.

The Nutty Professor 50th Anniversary Collection, which Lewis helped create, is packed with both the history of the film and Lewis.

"There is some funny stuff there. But when you open the box the first thing you'll see are the phony phone calls, being a person. The one book they have in there are all of my notes and all of my sketches that I had prepared for the shooting."

Lewis said everything about making the film was exciting.

"The beginning, the middle and the end. I wouldn't pick out any one thing. It was a love affair with every frame."

The Blu-ray set was released on June 3rd.
