SOT Deqing Sun, artist's boyfriend (English): "Some people had the concern that if we build the project like that it may be offensive to some people, but we don't think this is an issue because not all people think it's offensive, a lot of people think this is interesting and attractive. We think, in art, no matter what we do it may be offensive to some people but it will not stop us to do something that is interesting and fun."

A 3D-printed wall installation of penises, wagged to the music of Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy, in New York on Thursday.
Graduate student Peiqi Su of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU) created the wall as part of her Masters thesis in Telecommunications. Collecting data through Wikipedia to research average penis sizes, she then used it to model a 3D penis wall which was printed at her campus.
By using an ultrasonic sensor, the wall can be programmed not only to dance, but correlate with the visualisation of data, such as stock market patterns.
The artist's boyfriend, Deqing Sun, jokes he is partly the inspiration for the project, and that he played a key role in the technical wiring and sensors required for the 7 ft (2 metres) penis wall.
