Men take to the streets of Bangui in the Central African Republic with machetes.

They're furious over an attack by muslim gunmen on a Christian church a day before that left at least 11 dead.

The capital city is in chaos as looting ensues.

This Bangui resident says enough is enough.

(SOUNDBITE) (French) BANGUI RESIDENT, MARCEL MOKOUAPI, SAYING:

"We've shed enough tears, I think we need to stop this. It needs to stop and I think that what happened yesterday is really the last straw. We can't stand this anymore, not because there's a priest who died, but because even if any Central African person dies, we mourn for them. Those who lead us haven't taken their responsibilities."

This is the aftermath of the scene where the bloodbath took place.

Men taken on makeshift stretchers.

The church compound was home to some 5,000 Christians displaced by violence in the country.
