Mini Superleggera Vision Is A Vision Of Beauty | 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d-Este

Didn’t see this coming, did you? This is the Mini Superleggera Vision, a concept which the iconic German-owned British brand presented at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d-Este. Designed and engineered in collaboration with revolutionary Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera, the Vision is homage to the classic British 2-seater roadster format.
While the front features the familiar Mini face, the rest of the vehicle, fashioned out of hand-eaten aluminum, is radically different from any Mini you have ever seen, with Jaguar D-Type-aping tail fin, curvaceous surfacing, cab-backward stance and a long hood. The Union Jack taillamps in particular are a nice touch. A circular navigation display set into the middle of the digital instruments in front of the driver, a 3-spoke steering wheel and unpainted aluminum dashboard reflects the interiors like its exteriors.
To top off a slightly bizarre concept, the retro-futuristic Superleggera Vision is propelled by an electric motor, but no specs have been handed out. So, good move by the brand and should be produced, or a bridge too far? Please mention your comments in the box below…
