The Roots have been involved with Roy Ayers on many occasions, and this is a remix to their debut single Proceed which Roy Ayers is featured. Roy Ayers has most recently performed with The Roots on the Jimmy Fallon show. It's amazing to realize that their relationship has lasted over 15 years. It may not mean much in the Jazz world, but for a Jazz/Hip Hop connection, it is unmatched.
