As the hunt for missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370 enters a third week, Malaysia says France has become the third nation to provide satellite images that show possible debris in the Indian Ocean.

Malaysian authorities say a French satellite over the Indian Ocean has photographed what could be debris from missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370.

On Saturday, March 22, a wooden pallet was reportedly seen floating in the same area.

Eight planes flew out of western Australia Sunday, March 23, to search the area where the pallet was seen.

But as Sunday drew to a close, there were no further sightings of the pallet or other debris.

The vast Indian Ocean is in one of the most remote places on earth, and the suspected crash area is an eight-hour return trip from Australia, meaning search volunteers have only a few hours to scour the seas before needing to turn back.

As friends and family of the missing enter a third week with no confirmed info on their loved ones, frustration is brewing.

The primary search area is now located deep in the southern part of the vast Indian Ocean, an area known for bad weather and choppy seas.

Australia's prime minister, however, has vowed to continue using his nation's resources to help find the missing plane.
