Desperate search for missing South Korea ferry passengers continues

The first bodies have been brought in from a sunken ferry in South Korea as authorities continue the desperate search for survivors.
For now only six people are known to have died in Wednesday’s shipping disaster, but nearly 300 people, many of them students, still remain unaccounted for.
Earlier, visiting a makeshift shelter, South Korea’s prime minister faced a barrage of questions from angry parents anxious to know what was being done to find their loved ones.
Heading from mainland South Korea to the southern island resort of Jeju at the time it is still unclear what caused the vessel to suddenly capsize.
More than 170 people have been rescued so far but a major search operation is still ongoing with fears many on board may still be trapped inside the flooded boat. For the moment, however, divers have reportedly found no bodies.
Already a race against time the effort to find any further survivors is expected to be hampered by poor weather conditions, with heavy rain and fog predicted.
