BBC1 Open Air (main edition, part seven)
Open Air was BBC1's flagship programme for their new daytime service which began on 27 October 1986. In 1987 an additional early morning episode was added, following the end of Breakfast Time, to help promote and inform viewers what topics would be covered in the main edition.
In this edition from 1988, presenter Eamon Holmes broadcasts live from the Penns Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, originally used as a location for filming outdoor scenes of soap opera "Crossroads".
Cast members Jane Rossington, Tony Adams, Lynette McMorrough, Kathy Staff and Paul Henry are joined by Larry Grayson and fan and founder of the Noele Gordon and Crossroads Appreciation Society John Jameson-Davies as they all look back at the series which was due to end on Easter Bank Holiday Monday 1988.
